Marathon Week

I’ve always admired those people who are very organized and can sail right through anything that is placed before them. Well I’m not one of those people at all. Today is my crash day from a week of constant running. I can’t believe that it is Wed all over again. Creig and I have been cleaning and repainting our condo to get ready to sell. My kids are not quite sure if we still have a home. We have been getting home late every night and my kids fall asleep in the car and find themselves in there bed the next morning, only to throw on clothes, get back into the car and go some more. Today Jacob didn’t want to go to school and I think I just figured out why, he wasn’t quite sure if he would get to come back home or picked up and dropped off somewhere else. Natalie didn’t let me leave her sight today. She followed me from room to room today making sure I was still there.

The phrase from Pres. Hinckley has been coming to my mind “Stand a Little Taller” as I have been running from place to place. I have wondered how tall I have been as a mother. That is one of the highest and noble callings and sometimes I forget that. What a privilege it is to be given these children to teach and to lead. How blessed I am to have these two great kids. Being mom is the best calling that I have and I was glad to be reminded of that today when both my kids gave me hugs and said they were glad to be home.
